| Charles Howard Marsh was born in Magnolia, IA on April 8, 1885. Marsh studied with Wm V. Cahill, Guy Rose, Clarence Hinkle, Gorguet and Despujol in Paris, and at the Stickney School in Pasadena. A musician as well as painter, during the 1920s, he was a member of the music department at the University of Redlands. By 1929 he was in Fort Wayne, IN as director of the European School and then was in Orlando, FL. Returning to California in the mid-1930s, he settled in San Diego where he remained (showing 500 of 1160 characters). |
