Born October 13, 1890 in Mt. Vernon, Illinois, he graduated from the University of Illinois in 1914.  He was an architect/artist in Chicago, doing renderings for the larger architectural firms.  In 1926, he went to Europe to sketch.

Morgan married Beth Bennett Knowlton in 1915, who died in 1939; their only child BettyKay Morgan was born in 1917 and died in 2004.

Morgan died April 10, 1947 in Port Richie, Florida

Born Mt. Vernon, IL, Oct. 13, 1890. Architect. Etcher. Teacher. He studied at the University of Illinois. He spent two years in Spain and France and in England with Frank Brangwyn. He taught architecture at Kansas State College, Manhattan in 1933 and at the University of Kansas, Lawrence in 1942-43. Author of Color Sketches: Spain, France & England (1927); Chalk Talks; Sketching for You; Imagination, Sixth Sense; A Century of Progress in Painting.
