| | Clarence S. MacQuoid was born in Ohio on July 13, 1904. MacQuoid arrived in Los Angeles in the mid-1920s to study at the Otis Art Institute. He then maintained a commercial art studio in Los Angeles until 1953. He died there on April 26, 1981. | Source:
