| Clifford McBride was born in Minneapolis, MN on Jan. 26, 1901. After graduating from Occidental College, McBride settled in Pasadena where he began his career in 1923 as a staff artist for the Los Angeles Times. He then became a cartoonist for several national syndications and created the comic strip character Napoleon. His cartoons appeared in Life and Cosmopolitan magazines before his death in Altadena, CA on May 21, 1951.
