| Two colored pencil works by Constance A. Meeks are referenced in the Catalogue of the Twenty-Fourth Annual Exhibition of Water Colors, Pastels and Miniatures by American Artists in 1912 at The Art Institute of Chicago. The works were Old Houses, Frankfort and Belfrey of Bruges. European subject matter by Meeks is possible given that, according to records in the Virginia Historical Society, Meeks' mother took her and her sister Blanche to live in Paris from 1874-18 (showing 500 of 1259 characters). |
