| From Los Angeles, Daria Martin is known for video creations but also does pencil and watercolor drawings. She completed an MFA program at UCLA with Lari Pittman and Charles Ray among her teachers.
Her characteristic visual images are slow moving as if sedated, and she places them in obviously fake, painted dioramas. They are living figures in eerily still landscapes, creating a foggy, distant mood. |
