This biography from the Archives of AskART:
| Pastel landscape artist, Darlene Morgensen, finds her imagery from "studying the landscape; the colors of the sky, the silhouette of a deciduous tree, the rotund shape of a short bush or the conical shape of an evergreen."
Morgensen is an active pastel artist and former president of the Northwest Pastel Society. She recently took a year off to move and set up a second studio in Florida, with regular trips to her northwest studio in the state of Washington.
