| Dixie Ann Miller McElroy was born in Hartley, IA on Oct. 12, 1909. Dixie Miller soon married after moving to southern California in 1932. She studied and taught children's classes at Chouinard's and studied privately with Rex Brandt and Dong Kingman. Locally she worked for Bullock's and other stores before her death in Los Angeles on Oct. 2, 1972.
