This biography from the Archives of AskART:
| Born in Detroit and living in Belmont, California, Donna MacInnis
creates wood sculptures intended to give the appearance of defying
gravity. Most of her works are painted varying shades of creamy
white, are two to five feet high, and reflect her fascination with
architectural juxtapositions and her interest in sculpture as collage.
MacInnis earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from the Academy of Arts
College in San Francisco and an Associate Degree in commercial art from
Mission College in Santa Clara.
