Doris Williamson was born June 20, 1920 in Russellville,
Arkansas. Her parents were Floyd Henry and Ruby Harvill
Williamson. In 1941 she married Evert Eugene Mapes, a Certified
Public Accountant, from Fort Smith. They had one daughter,
Eugenia Kay Mapes Caffey. Mr. Mapes died in 1983.
Doris Mapes was educated at Little Rock Junior College, Hendrix College
in Conway, and Rex Brandt School of Painting in California. She
has won numerous state, regional, and (showing 500 of 2838 characters). |
