| Ellen Conover McCluskey is well known on Martha’s Vineyard for her
creative endeavors, from her early days in Edgartown helping to
establish various shops and a prominent Edgartown Inn and art gallery,
to teaching music after having attended the Longy School in Cambridge,
to joining the Granary Gallery in 1981 as artists’ coordinator and then
beginning to show her own work of Vineyard pastels. “In living on
