The following information was supplied in December of 2006 by E. Ted Farone, a former student of the artist: Emil P. Maurer, 1904 – He was an accomplished professional artist, especially in portraiture. His training began in the Berlin Academy in Germany. In the early '30s he came to New York City to study art at the then noted Cooper Union (his anatomy teacher was the famous Bridgman). He soon tired of working in the advertising field and moved to Rochester, NY in 1940 to (showing 500 of 1767 characters). |
