Submitted as a bulletin by Juan Fernandez of Switzerland:
Emilio Maccagni was the grandfather of my mother Mariangela Maccagni. He was a Swiss artist from Ticino, born in Rivera. He was a great Swiss artist from 1915 to 1941. He was friends with other Swiss artists such as Berta, Giacometti G., Alberto, Foglia, Balmelli, Amiet C., Nizzola and others. Emilio Maccagni painted in oil, watercolor tempera, and designed and painted frescoes in churches ( Santa Maria degli Angeli in Lugano and others in Ticino and north Italy) and in official building in Bellinzona and private residences.
