| | Born in Copenhagen, Denmark on May 14, 1884. Magnussen moved to NYC in 1925 and became artistic director of the Gorham Silver Company. In 1933 he hitchhiked to Hollywood, CA and established the Art Mart School where he taught and made enamel jewelry and flatware for the movie stars. He returned to Denmark in 1939 and died there in 1961. His works were often compared to Cellini. Exh: Industrial Arts, MM, 1927; Palos Verdes Art Gallery, 1934.
