A painter of portraits, and land-and seascapes, he had a studio in Bolinas north of San Franciso in the 1950s. His studio was located right in the crease of the valley, full of light from the north wall, which was almost entirely glass.
Information courtesy of Jarrett Griffin who was ca. eight years old when Erwin Mannheim painted his and his brother's portrait at the studio in Bolinas.
