| Eugene Maier-Krieg was born in Württemberg, Germany in 1897. Maier-Krieg studied with Karl Deibele and continued at the Stuttgart Art Academy where he later became an assistant professor. He came to the U.S. in 1924 and after a short period in NYC moved to Hollywood where he worked for various movie studios. During the 1930s he worked on the Federal Art Project. His work includes architectural sculpture and portrait busts. His last years were spent near Heidelberg, Germany where he died in 1 (showing 500 of 949 characters). |
