Eunice Loncoske McCloskey (1904-1983)
Eunice Loncoske McCloskey was born in Ridgway on May 25, 1904, the daughter of Frederick William Loncoske and Ada Nelson Loncoske. A graduate of the Centennial High School, she studied poetry and English for one year at Columbia University.
Mrs. McCloskey has written over seventeen books, and has painted at least 4,000 paintings, of which at least 800 hang in sixteen states. Her work was hung in many of the museums in the United Sta (showing 500 of 1900 characters). |
