Evangeline Ackley McBride was born in Milwaukee, WI on December 27,
1858. In 1887, Eva married Dr. James H. McBride who operated the
Milwaukee Hospital for the Insane.
Following an extended trip to Europe and the Orient, the couple settled in Pasadena in 1897.
She studied art with Henry Joseph Breuer and William Merritt Chase.
Eva McBride died in Pasadena on Aug. 27, 1928.
