This biography from the Archives of AskART:
Born in Northville, Michigan, she was a painter in the early 20th century of still lives and landscapes.  She studied at the Rhode Island School of Design, the Boston Museum School of the Fine Arts, and with Charles Hawthorne at Provincetown, Massachusetts.  She settled in Providence where she was active with the Art Club.

Who Was Who in American Art
by Peter Hastings Falk (editor)

Biography from Boston Art Club:

The following information courtesy of John Curuby, President, Boston Art Club:

The painting style of Exene Meyersham is very closely related to the last, Modernist phase of Boston School Impressionism. Her strict and precise paint application shows a very talented student of RISD and the SMFA, Boston. She studied with Charles Hawthorne, but seems to be more distinctly influenced by his wife, Marion Campbell Hawthorne.
