Born in Northville, Michigan, she was a painter in the early 20th century of still lives and landscapes. She studied at the Rhode Island School of Design, the Boston Museum School of the Fine Arts, and with Charles Hawthorne at Provincetown, Massachusetts. She settled in Providence where she was active with the Art Club.
