Frank Charles Dante Minuto
Frank Charles Dante Minuto was born in Casper, Wyoming, in 1947. He has had one-person shows at galleries in the United States and in a private collection with the Petropavlovsk, Kamchatka Museum in Russia and the Museum of Art in Nagasaki, Japan. His corporate collectors include MTV Music awards in New York, Club Med Corporation in Los Angeles and Union Bank of California in Chula Vista. His mural for the Union bank is done in the WPA 1930s style, depicting the farming industry in Chula Vista. Frank collaborated with ESPN Zone on a mural project. He is showing with the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and has a mural showing at the Museum of Latin American Art, which is a jungle painting for the children's development section.
Frank Minuto has had numerous awards and honors. In 1991, Frank received first prize at Mira Costa Art Department, In 1993; he received second prize with the Affaire in the Gardens show in Beverly Hills and an Honorable mention prize. In 1995, with the Josyln Center in Torrance he received an Honorable mention award.
Frank has done lectures and public speaking engagements with the Josyln Art Center in 1991 and with the San Pedro Association in 1987. He was a Juror at Josyln Art Center in 1992. He has received grants for teaching Jr. High and High Schools in the South Bay area. Frank is teaching classes at Palos Verdes Art Association and is doing art discussions regarding his Snake painting at a private school, Marlborough in Los Angeles. His book, Palos Verdes Peninsula Artists, has just been released July 2005. He has outside benches with the Port of Los Angeles in the San Pedro near the Catalina Express terminal.
Frank’s education includes Chouinard's Art Institute, Otis Institute, Highline College and the University of London. Frank teaches private tutoring.
