| | Born in Berlin, Germany on Dec. 16, 1878. Methner established a printing business in Berlin and studied art in Paris. He came to NYC in 1922 and, two years later, settled in San Francisco. He worked there for the Schmidt Lithograph Company until his death on April 16, 1941. His fine art includes landscapes, still lifes, and portraits. | Source:
