A graduate of Oswego State Teachers College with a master’s degree from New York University, Miner came to Southold, Long Island in 1942. There he taught industrial arts at Southold High School.
A founding member of the Old Town Arts & Crafts Guild in Cutchogue with Agnes Mothersele, George W. Hallock, Jr., Caroline Bell, Annie Young, Marguerite Hawkins and other artists, he joined Joseph Beckwith Hartranft, John H. Kaelin, George McAdams and Larry Waitz on Tuesdays, (showing 500 of 702 characters).
