Beginning as a patina worker for other sculptors, he became a sculptor working in bronzes. He was one of four artists featured in "Artists To Watch" in "Southwest Art" March 1999 issue.

Biography from Leland Little Auction & Estate Sales:
While at university in Colorado, Gino Miles made the first of many extended studies in Italy to further his artistic training. He was greatly influenced by the ancient ruins and works of the Etruscans, Romans and Greeks, as well as the works of artists at the turn of the 20th century, including Manzu, Marini, Modigliani, Greco, Wotruba and Moore.  He and his wife returned to the United States in 1983 and he continues creating both large and small scale works.
