This biography from the Archives of AskART:
My grandmother's  correct name was "Lydia Grace Rhodes Paxton McLean".  Her maiden name was "Lydia Grace Rhodes". She was married as a young woman and her married name became "Paxton". Her first husband died of TB after they had been married for about a year (she rarely spoke of this marriage). She went to college. She married my grandfather Frank Cameron McLean.
