Gustavo Montoya (1905-2003)
Born in Mexico City July 9th, 1905 and died the 9th of July 2003, at 98 years. He was one of the most important artists of the Escuela Mexicana de Pintura (Mexican School Artists), especially the "Easel Painting" of the Mexican Neoealism of the 20th century.
A teacher at the Academia de San Carlos (the most important school of arts) for more than thirty years -the same place he studied at in the 20´s-, which produced artists like German Gedov (showing 500 of 1399 characters). |
