This biography from the Archives of AskART:
| Henry Valentine Miller was an American writer and, to a lesser extent, painter. His
is a mixture of novel, autobiography, social criticism, philosophical
reflection, and surrealist free association. His paintings, abstract
watercolors and sketches were passed out freely to friends and
comrades.
Miller painted from his sub-conscious, a mixture of surrealism and
dreams that also punctuated his novels. His paintings have been
exhibited internationally, and are on permanent exhibition in Carmel,
CA. |
