Hubert De Groff Main (1884-1954) was a noted Maplewood, New Jersey based artist and teacher.
Born in Newark, Main received his education at the New York School of Fine and Applied Art and at Pratt Institute. He also studied portraiture with Wayman Adams.
During his career, Main was a member of several professional artist associations including the Salmagundi Club, Eastern Arts Association, Art Center of the Oranges, and the American Artists Professional League for whic (showing 500 of 1138 characters). |
