Pastelist Herman Margulies was born in Borylaw, Poland near the Russian border. In 1939 the Germans invaded Poland and Margulies and his family were sent to concentration camps. His mother and brothers died in Auschwitz and his father was killed at Linz. Herman Margulies survived Linz.
In 1951 Margulies immigrated to America. He worked for 22 years at the Sterling Drug Company in New York as an inventor. During his career he filed 22 international patents for such common products as the (showing 500 of 1192 characters). |
