Irma Bratton Mars (1901-1940)
After graduation from the Cumming School of Art, Des Moines, she joined the faculty of the State University of Iowa. Further studies in design were made at Cooper Union in New York. Oil, pastel and monochrome portraits became her major and she was especially recognized for her pastel drawings of children.
Her society memberships include the All-Illinois Society of the Fine Arts, the Chicago Galleries Association and the Iowa Art Guild.&n (showing 500 of 903 characters). |
