Isaac Muse took up art after he left military service as a young man. He taught art in Newark, New Jersey, and his most famous pupil was the painter, Grace Hartigan. He exhibited with the Bertha Schaefer Gallery, New York, throughout the 1950's.
He was married to the artist and sculptor, Siv Holme, who was Swedish by birth.
Muse and Holme immigrated to France after WWII and lived most of the time in the village of Tillard in the Oise region of France. They had two children, also ar (showing 500 of 1141 characters). |
