Painting in bold colors society scenes, Isaac Maimon was born in Israel
in 1951 to French-speaking parents, and in his artwork, he shows much
influence of the "boulevard culture" of French society and the Paris
school of art including the paintings of Toulouse Lautrec.
Maimon did military service and then studied at the Avni Institute of
Fine Art in Tel Aviv where he was exposed to the Paris school. In
1980, he began a teaching career, starting at the School of Visua (showing 500 of 1383 characters). |
