| A contributor of illustrations and cartoons to Colliers, The Saturday Evening Post, American, This Week, Cosmopolitan, Esquire and other magazines, Mack was the creator of the Dotty Dripple comic strip for Publishers Syndicate in Chicago, Illinois.
He studied at the Chicago Academy of Fine Art, the American Academy of Art, and with Nick Nichols and J.Allen St. John.
He was a member of the National Cartoonist Society and Mid-America Artists.
