Jane Roma McElroy was born in San Francisco, CA in 1867. “Jennie” McElroy studied at the local School of Design with Emil Carlsen and Raymond Dabb Yelland under whose tutelage she became a skilled painter. While a resident of 3328 Washington Street, she exhibited locally and was active in the local art scene.
A spinster and lifelong resident of her native city, she died of pneumonia on July 4, 1923. Working in oil and watercolor, she produced fruit and floral stil (showing 500 of 890 characters). |
