Jane Manus is a metal sculptor born in New York City, who now resides in Florida. She received her BFA from Rollins College at the Art Institute of Boston in 1973.
Manus's sculptures are seemingly minimalist but upon further inspection are also expressionist. She uses the simple geometry of minimalism, but the works are surrounded with an emotional aura that interacts with the viewer.
Manus won First Prize for the Sculpture competition in the Mitzi Newhouse Juried Exhibi (showing 500 of 806 characters). |
