A noted equestrian artist nationwide, Jean MacFarland grew up in Oklahoma City and Greensboro, North Carolina, always knowing art was to be her career.
After attending Parsons School of Design and spending six years freelance illustrating and designing in New York City, she migrated to upper New York State and then Western Massachusetts to be around horses, country, and help create an innovative arts center. It was during these years she showed at the Society of Illustrators in New York (showing 500 of 1137 characters). |
