This biography from the Archives of AskART:
Born in Columbia, MO on May 22, 1904. Murry studied at the Detroit Academy of Art. After settling in Los Angeles in the 1930s, he worked as a muralist for the Federal Art Project. He died in Los Angeles on Sept. 7, 1973. Exh: Federal Art Project, LACMA, 1935; Stendahl Gallery (LA), 1937, 1941; LACMA, 1939; GGIE, 1939 (oils); NY World's Fair, 1939 (murals); Foundation of Western Art (LA), 1940; En’s Gallery (LA), 1941. In: LA Water & Power Co. (mural); Glendale Jr. College (petrachrome); Boise (ID) Post Office (mural).

Born in Columbia, Missouri, Jerre Murry studied at the Detroit Academy of Art and in 1937, exhibited at the Paris Exposition.  He painted murals in New York and later in Los Angeles including for the Water and Power Company.
