Joanna Matthews was born in Tacoma, Washington, in June of 1939. She was raised in Southern California. Throughout her adult life, she studied and researched art books and periodicals. This influenced her to use her natural ability in applying paint to canvas.
She began her formal art studies with Leon Franks, Hal Reed, & Jeanne Down in the early 1960's.
Following a move to San Francisco, she became a weekend painter. She worked as a TV talk-show (showing 500 of 5338 characters). |
