The following information is provided by the artist.
John McCormick was born in Salem, Massachusetts. From the age of four to the age of eleven, John lived in the village of McGraw's Cove, Nova Scotia. It was there that John discovered his love of fine arts. At age five, John began sketching sea gulls, boats, and shorelines.
After a semester at the Art Institute of Boston, John was drafted into the Army. In Vietnam, John applied for and received the job of Combat Artist, U.S. Army. (showing 500 of 2076 characters). |
