| Joseph Ambrose Marron was born in San Francisco, CA on May 12, 1883. By 1902 Marron was a member of the art department at the Chronicle. He later worked as a photographer for the Call-Bulletin. A lifelong resident of his native city, he died on Aug. 28, 1947.
