|  Josephine Meckseper studied at the Hochschule der Künste in Berlin from 1986 to 1990. She continued her studies earning a MFA in 1992 from the California Institute of the Arts in Valencia, California.
From 1994 to 2000 she was the editor and publisher of FAT magazine.
Meckseper has exhibited her multi-media artwork internationally including the Lyon Biennial of Contemporary Art in 2005.
