Biography from Coeur d'Alene Galleries, LLC:
Keith McMasters has been fascinated with Native American subjects since his early youth. Growing up on the Washington-Idaho border near the Nez Perce Indian Reservation, Keith had the opportunity to witness first hand, a culture so rich in heritage that it has been captured in his mind for decades.

Coupled with his love for art that also began at an early age, Western Art was a natural attraction. He felt himself inspired by works expressing the everyday way of life of the Native American and those artists that were able to capture the accuracy and detail of the real American Indian. That fascination with the Great American West and those inspiring portrayals led Keith, self-taught, to start sculpting about twenty years ago.

As a full-time Western Artist, Keith lives with his wife, Mira, in the foothills of the Blue Mountains of beautiful southeastern Washington. He has won several awards, among the most recent a First Place in Traditional Sculpture at the Phippen Museum Western Art Show and Sale in Prescott, Az. Keith's work is exhibited in numerous major Western Art Shows each year throughout the western United States.
