| Laura Eliza Marshall was born in Lansing, MI on June 14, 1873. Marshall studied at the Boston Museum School, Detroit Museum School, and Columbia University. After moving to California about 1903, she further studied at UC Berkeley. For 27 years she taught in the public schools of Fresno and at Berkeley High School. A spinster, Marshall died in San Francisco on Jan. 15, 1933.
