Lea Franklin McCarty was born 1905 in Los Angeles, California and and died 1960 in Santa Rosa, California. He attended the University of Southern California and left the University to travel with Paul Whiteman's band as a drummer. In addition to music, he had various other interests including mining, horticulture, and ceramics.
McCarty moved with his family to Sierra Madre following his father's death and founded the McCarty Pottery line of figurines sold nationally. He also painted with (showing 500 of 2294 characters). |
