| | Born in Yampa, CO on Sept. 19, 1913. MacRitchie moved to Oakland in 1928. During the Depression he was employed on the Federal Art Project and under their auspices created a mosaic mural in Oakland High School. At the onset of WWII he moved across the bay to San Francisco and for 28 years taught at the Rudolph Schaeffer Art School. He died in San Francisco on Dec. 9, 1969. | Source:
