This biography from the Archives of AskART:
A pupil of Ilonka Karasz, Marguerita Mergentime was known for her designs of woven and printed textiles and fabrics.  At Radio City Music Hall at Rockefeller Center in New York City, her Design for Carpet is located in the Grand Lounge, and her Design for Wall Covering is in the ladies lounge of the third mezzanine.  Mergentime's work was commissioned by Donald Deskey, the chief interior designer of Rockefeller Center.  Her styles varied according to the location of her pieces, and ranged from traditional, organic motifs to modernist abstract forms.

Her birth place is unknown, but she appears to have spent most of her career in New York City where she died in 1941.  She exhibited at the Brooklyn Museum, and was a designer for Kohn-Hall-Marx Co., and Schwartzenbach-Huber, fabric manufacturers.
