Born at Hermoupolis on the Island of Syros, Michalis Makroulakis settled in Athens in 1957 where he studied at the Athenian Technological Institute from 1958 - 1964 stage scenery and costume design with Spiros Vassiliou, Tassos, Costas Plakotaris, Antonis Polykandriotis a.o., painting with Yannis Tsarouchis and design with Thanassis Apartis. From 1963 to 1966 he worked as stage scenery designer in several theatres in Athens. In 1971 he settled in Teheran (Iran), where he stayed until (showing 500 of 763 characters). |
