Largely self-taught, Moises Monteferro first did abstract painting, which gave way to a series of paintings with a strong expressionist style where monochromes and nervous brush strokes were his main characteristics. In the mid 1970's, Monteferro worked with the Saragossa painter Fernando Artal. During this time, he was greatly influenced by Antoni Tapies, and his works began to acquire texture and consistency.
In the early 80's, Monteferro discovered the works of Miguel Barcelo in Docume (showing 500 of 3770 characters). |
