| Nancy Martin was born in London, England on Jan. 18, 1906. At age 14 Martin sailed to Canada where she studied at the Winnipeg Art School. In 1922 she came to California and continued her art study in San Francisco with Maria von Ridelstein and Peter BIos. Working in oil and watercolor, she painted floral still lifes, nudes, abstracts, and a few landscapes. After moving to Santa Rosa, CA in the late 1970s, she remained there until her death on May 26, 2000.
