| Miniature portrait painter, Nina Meucci was born in Spain and active during the early 19th century. She was married to artist Anthony Meucci, Nina shared a studio in the French Quarter with her husband in New Orleans where they arrived in 1818. From 1821-22 they lived in Charleston, SC and together they opened an academy of drawing and painting. They were last in New Orleans in 1827 and is possible that Nina went with her husband to Havana, Cuba from there.
