One of the founding members of the American studio movement of fine-art
blown glass, Paul Marioni is based in Seattle and creates modernist
pieces that incorporate humor, images of taboo sexuality, genre
figures, tribal masks, photographs and visual puns such as Rocking Birds (2006).
He, with his associate, Ann Troutner, have completed more than 85
public commissions including glass pieces for walls, ceilings and
skylights and have also completed floors of terrazzo (showing 500 of 1775 characters). |
